Abstract Artist
Exhibiting at Dubai Jazz Festival for the 8th year, here you can see 2 of my large finished paintings and one ‘in progress’ painting. The paintings are sized 120 x 120 cm and will be exhibited throughout the festival from 14th to 22nd February 2013.
On Sunday 2nd September I will be taking part in Art on the Prom in Felixstowe again this year for the 3rd year running. The day is a great showcase for a large number of artists from Suffolk and beyond. I will be exhibiting around a dozen of my currently available abstracts.
This weekend is the annual exhibition held by Ipswich Lions at the Tithe Barn in Sproughton, near Ipswich, Suffolk. There is a high quality of work at the exhibition and is open from 10am til 6pm on Saturday 23rd June and 10am til 4pm on Sunday 24th June.
I have 4 paintings in the exhibition: In The Forest, Bronze, Squares and Blue Landscape.
Drop in the Ocean is a textured piece with a variety of blue colour washes to give a graduated effect. In the centre is a motif which can be looked upon as a drop of water or else the arabic letter ‘h’ which looks like an ‘o’ and hence together makes H2O, or water – so it is water dropping into water.
The centre motif is covered with silver leaf to give a shimmering water effect. The painting is 60 x 90 cm on a deep edged canvas.
I have 3 paintings in the art exhibition taking place at Woodbridge School this weekend. Paintings are: Squares (60 x 60cm) acrylic on textured canvas, Squares in Squares (60 x 60 cm), acrylic on textured canvas and Untitled Turquoise (70 x 60cm), acrylic on textured canvas.
At the end of October I left Dubai to return to the UK. Although I now reside permanently in the UK, I will still be coming to Dubai for large projects and for events such as the Jazz Festival which is usually in February of each year.
